Der heutige Tag hat uns bereits einige neue Infos zu den aktuellen Vorgängen bei Nintendo gegeben. Diesmal drehte sich alles um den Verkaufserfolg des New Nintendo 3DS oder die neuen Pläne die man mit den Amiibo’s verfolgt. Auf der nächsten Investorenkonferenz möchte man anschließend die Investoren genauer über die Pläne rund um die Quality of Life Plattform, die Nutzung hauseigener Marken sowie Apps für Smartphones und Tablets aufklären.

Mit Spielen wie Hyrule Warriors zeigte Nintendo in den vergangenen Monaten bereits, dass man auch anderen Entwicklern die Möglichkeit gibt, mit den eigenen Marken Spiele umzusetzen. Nintendo selbst ist bei den jeweiligen Projekten mit dabei, wohl auch um die Qualität der Spiele sicherzustellen. Im Fall von Quality of Life wissen wir bereits von einem Gerät welches unseren Schlafrhythmus aufzeichnen und auswerten wird. Genaueres lies sich der japanische Konzern bislang aber noch nicht entlocken. Im Fall der Smart-Devices arbeitet das Unternehmen derzeit an Apps mit denen man die eigenen Produkte besser vermarkten möchte. In diesem Zusammenhang sprach Satoru Iwata z.B. bereits über eine Art Mii-App mit der man den selbsterstellten Avatar sozusagen exportieren und auf anderen Plattformen weiterverwenden kann.

While we will further our endeavors to increase our Nintendo 3DS and Wii U businesses in the next fiscal year, we intend to simultaneously challenge ourselves with new endeavors which include our plan to take advantage of smart devices, more aggressive use of Nintendo’s character IP and our new QOL improvement platform business. I am limited in what I can discuss about these efforts now, and I do not think I can successfully convey a big and comprehensive picture of our projects just by sharing with you some fragmented information on these multiple challenges. At the time when we hold the next Financial Results Briefing to discuss the annual results of the current fiscal year, I am hopeful that I will be able to share with you any relevant information, as well as about our financial forecasts, in as much detail as I can.
