Natürlich durfte auch FIFA 13 auf dem diesjährigen EA Summer Showcase nicht fehlen. Während der Show zeigte EA einige der neuen Ideen und Features die durch das Wii U GamePad ermöglicht werden. So ist es z.B. möglich, Freistöße genauer zu platzieren oder taktische Einstellungen direkt über das Wii U GamePad durchzuführen. EA hat bereits eine Pressemitteilung zu den gezeigten Ausschnitten aus FIFA 13 für die Wii U veröffentlicht. In der Pressemitteilung erklärt EA die neuen Features ein wenig.

Electronic Arts hat heute die Weiterentwicklung seiner erfolgreichsten Fußball-Simulationsreihe FIFA für die Nintendo Wii U angekündigt. Mit neuen Spielmöglichkeiten und HD Grafiken verspricht FIFA 13 ein unglaubliches und innovatives Fußballspiel für die Wii U zu werden. Das Spiel wird zeitgleich mit Einführung der neuen Wii Konsole erhältlich sein.

„Unser Team hat mit FIFA 13 ein neues und kreatives Fußballerlebnis geschaffen. Ziel war es, Innovationen speziell für die Wii U zu entwickeln und Gameplay-Neuerungen zu bieten, die Gamer mit unterschiedlichsten Spielfähigkeiten und Begabungen zusammenbringen“, erklärt Andrew Wilson, Head of EA SPORTS.

Im Co-op Modus können Familien oder Freunde gegeneinander antreten, wobei ein Spieler die Managementfunktion übernehmen kann, während bis zu vier weitere Spieler das Match bestreiten. Durch „Team Management Control“ ist es möglich, mit Hilfe des interaktiven Radars, Spieler in der Offensive, Defensive und bei Vorstößen zu steuern. Außerdem lassen sich durch die neuartige Touch Screen Control Taktiken, Formationen und Auswechselungen ohne Spielunterbrechung durch den Spieler durchführen.

Der Modus „Manage Match“ versetzt den Spieler in die Rolle eines Fußball-Managers. Von der Seitenlinie aus können Anweisungen an die Mannschaft gegeben oder Halbzeitgespräche geführt werden, die durch statistische Match- und Spieleranalysen zu jeder Zeit abrufbar sind und den Spieler so zu spiellogischen Entscheidungen befähigen. FIFA 13 für die Wii U vernetzt die Spieler auf einzigartige Weise, sodass Freunde online für eine Partie eingeladen werden können und interaktive Kommunikation über das Touch Pad in Echtzeit möglich wird. Das innovative Wii U GamePad lässt den Spieler hautnah in das Spielerlebnis eintauchen. „Augmented Reality“ ermöglicht dem Spieler bei Standardsituationen und Strafstößen genaues Zielen. Durch Schütteln des GamePads wird der Schuss aktiviert und erlaubt höchste Präzision bei der Ausführung.

FIFA 13 wird als Launch Titel zum Start der Wii U bereit stehen, es gibt also ein weiteres Spiel auf das man sich zum Start der Wii U freuen darf. Das gezeigte Videomaterial macht aktuell auch Lust auf mehr und zeigt, dass sich EA einige Gedanken über die Wii U Steuerung und Ihre Vorteile gemacht hat. Bleibt natürlich noch die Frage, ob diese neuen Features für Fans der Serie Grund genug sind, um auf die Wii U umzusteigen.
