Ein Sprecher von Warner Bros. bestätigte aktuell im Gespräch mit MCVUK, dass die angekündigten DLC-Inhalte zu Batman Arkham Origins nicht mehr für die Wii U erscheinen werden. Grund für die Streichung soll die geringe Nachfrage nach digitalen Inhalten auf Nintendo’s neuer Heimkonsole sein. Wii U Besitzer die sich den Season Pass zum Spiel gekauft haben und damit eigentlich bereits im vorhinein für den nun gestrichenen DLC gezahlt haben, erhalten laut Warner Bros. Ihr Geld direkt auf das jeweilige Nintendo eShop Konto als Guthaben zurückerstattet.

“Based on demand for Downloadable Content on the system, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has made the decision to remove its offering of the upcoming new story campaign for Wii U. As a result, we will be crediting the entire $19.99+tax cost of the Season Pass back to your Nintendo eShop account. You will still be able to enjoy the content already released thus far.
